Updated for August 2007.
Literary Traveler has an ongoing need for interns to work on various projects, either remotely from school or home or from our office in Somerville, MA near Davis Square.
Each internship is customized based on an intern's skills, interests and the current needs of Literary Traveler. The scope is determined by the amount of time an intern can devote to a project. The internships can run parallel to a school semester or may be used for college credit, but this is not a requirement for the internship. The internship will culminate in an independent project.
Internships at Literary Traveler can take a variety of forms including both editorial internships, marketing interships, and research based internships. Interns have assisted us with all phases of editorial and marketing for Literary Traveler.
Editorial Internships - Your responsibilities will include Internet research, reviewing content, researching features and books, and writing content for Literary Traveler. The culmination of the program will be to complete a an independent project. This project will consist of a side bar or short piece or series of pieces to be published on Literary Traveler.
Marketing Internships - You will help with various marketing projects, including writing marketing and PR materials for Literary Traveler. You will be assigned a marketing project that you will work on through the internship. The culmination of the program will be to complete a case study on your project. Possible projects include search marketing, and email marketing.
We are presently accepting new interns for the Fall of 2007.
