Blyth Theatre Festival

Literary Tour Summary Literary Tour Intinerary Request information about this tour About the tour company

The Blyth Festival is a community-based professional theatre situated in a village of approximately 1000.

Artistic director Eric Coates says, I am not a farmer. But throughout high school, I spent several happy years working as a hired hand on a small farm. The work was hard, the people were wonderful, the food was hearty, and the stories flowed like water. As I met and worked with more farmers in the region, I learned that there were stories for every occasion. No matter what the situation, it reminded someone of a story. There were funny stories, tragic stories, thoughtful stories, and sometimes, just plain old practical stories about how to get the job done.
