India Literary Tour

Literary Tour Summary Literary Tour Intinerary Request information about this tour About the tour company

Mark Twain once called India the the cradle of the human race, the birthplace of human speech, the mother of history, the grandmother of legend, and the great grandmother of tradition. Though this is just one way to see the complex country, Twain's description helps illustrate the wonder and awe that many writers have felt upon visiting India.

On this trip we will discover the dizzying contrasts of the worlds largest democracy. From throbbing metropolis, to sleepy village, to the great regal excess of the famous Rajs, to the restorative calm of the holy city of Varanasi, prepare to be bewitched by the sensual, spiritual and intellectual riches of India.

With the aid of an expert guide, we will discover India, seen through the lens of great literary works.
