John Dickinson is one of the founding fathers of the United States and signer of the Constitution. He is also known for writing Letters of a Farmer in Pennsylvania in 1767, giving him the title "Penman of the Revolution." The plantation has a formal garden, tea parlor and smokehouse. Characters in colonial dress provide guided tours of the property and tell about the differences in lifestyles between the rich, white slaves and black slaves in the time period. Events include a free admission family festival and a delicious holiday celebration in December, featuring special desserts.
