If you have a little Literary Traveler (who loves to read and go out to eat!) and you are looking for the perfect holiday destination, then point to Boston on the map (or your phone) and head to the Fairmont Copley Plaza. (And grab a special book about one of Boston’s famous pets.) It’s a great way for them to for them to visit someplace and someone they have read about.
New England is notorious for its cozy holiday feel and there’s no place like Boston to enjoy the festive spirits, especially when the holidays arrive, and the city is all dressed up in lights and the snow begins to fall. Gifts will be wrapped and families will join together to celebrate the end of another year. Nestled into Boston’s historic Back Bay the Fairmont Copley Plaza Hotel offers a bit of something for all of their guests.
Recently we had the chance to visit two very special residents, Catie and Carly Copley. For families with children or even for pet lovers, the Copley Plaza offers a Canine Ambassadors program. This unique amenity allows guests to receive the warm and friendly services of Catie and Carly Copley. They accompany guests on walks, visit meetings upon request, and even participate in charitable and community events in the city. There are even fun books about the dogs for children to read during their stay, making it an extremely memorable occasion.
November and December are busy months in Boston, MA. Shoppers and tourists and locals alike flock to the city to enjoy the lighting of the tree at Faneuil Hall and guests at Copley Plaza enjoy the convenience of being in the center of all of the excitement.
Conveniently located in Copley Square near the Public Library, Beacon Hill, and Freedom Trail the Copley Plaza Hotel boasts proximity to some of the best sights in the city. The hotel is right within walking distance from countless restaurants, shops, and winter attractions and so close to public transportation it makes the decision of whether or not to book a stay here an easy one.
The exterior, entryway, and lobby of the hotel are exquisite with ornately decorated ceilings, cool marble walls, and intricate chandeliers bringing in a comforting light. This historic and elegantly constructed hotel is also home to the Oak Room, a rustic bar and kitchen room that lends the perfect atmosphere to sit, relax and have a tall glass of red wine or Manhattan. A 24 hour dining service is also provided to guests staying in their rooms, you’ll never go hungry at the Plaza. The stately rooms offer gorgeous interior design, with light colors adorning the walls, clean comfortable furniture, and plush beds that make you feel right at home. For fitness enthusiasts there is a newly renovated Rooftop Health Club which is open 24 hours a day with expansive equipment and training areas. The club also features floor to ceiling windows that offer spectacular views of Boston’s Back Bay.
The showrooms of the Fairmont Copley Plaza are dramatic, but respectfully designed to impress guests. Ballrooms such as the Grand ballroom and St. James ballroom are a vision of luxury making it an opulent venue for a Boston Wedding. Reasons for visiting can include anything from a fabulous engagement party to an impressive family reunion, and anything in between. The Boston Public Gardens are just across the street offering the perfect opportunity for a peaceful stroll amidst the bustling city life.
