What You will gain from an internship with Literary Traveler
An internship with Literary Traveler will provide you with real world marketable skills. You’ll learn first-hand the fundamentals of running a travel website, writing for the web, search engine optimization, and working with advertisers and sponsors. You’ll learn how to package yourself and your ideas and develop your own niche. You’ll get to be part of an extremely positive atmosphere where you’ll receive direct feedback on your writing. Shortly after interning at Literary Traveler, many past interns have secured jobs in the writing, marketing and publishing industries and continue to write today. Researching, writing and thinking about traveling is a great way to get ready for when the world is ready to travel again!
Location, Location, Location
As long as you have access to a computer with internet access and a phone, this internship can be completed completely from the comfort of your home.
You should be interested in writing, the business of publishing, reading great literature, and travel. Responsibilities include researching editorial projects and contributing content to the website and social media channels under the guidance of our editors.
What are the qualifications for this job?
Ability to make a long-term commitment to a project (3-6 months minimum)
Be available at least 8 hours per week
Major or minor in English / Marketing / Something Interesting
Have a strong command of punctuation, spelling and grammar
Possess excellent research skills
Be able to work independently
